Report a Water Quality Concern
What should I report?
Please let us know if you notice an unexpected change in your water, including:
- Unusual color or cloudiness
- An unexpected taste or odor
- Sediment or particles in the water
- Other changes in the appearance or quality of your drinking water
When submitting your report, please include as much information as possible, including the location, when you first noticed the issue, whether it affects hot water, cold water, or both, and whether the issue is occurring throughout the property or only at one faucet.
What happens after I submit a report?
City staff will review the information you provide and determine what follow-up may be needed. Depending on the concern, staff may review water system conditions, contact you for additional information, or conduct additional investigation.
Providing detailed information in your initial report can help our team better understand what you are experiencing and respond appropriately.
Why can water look, smell, or taste different?
Changes in drinking water can occasionally occur for a variety of reasons, including work on the water distribution system, changes in water use, plumbing within a home or building, or naturally occurring minerals.
An unusual appearance, taste, or odor does not always mean the water is unsafe, but we encourage residents to report unexpected changes so our team can evaluate the concern.
