If you are a Contractor and will need empty and return service, OR if you are a School/University, OR if you need permanent placement of a container, please contact our office directly to rent a dumpster (solidwaste@lawrenceks.gov or 785-832-3032).
Accepted materials for roll-off container services include: Municipal solid waste, construction and demolition materials, etc. Container cannot be filled to capacity with demolition material, concrete, rock, and other heavy materials due to weight limitations.
Prohibited materials include: Tires, paint, chemicals, hazardous waste, refrigerators, air conditioners, or other items containing freon.
***Roll-off containers can only be filled level full. Nothing can be hanging over the side or sticking out of the container.
Yard waste is also prohibited in roll-off containers, as it cannot be dumped at the landfill. Yard waste can be dumped at the compost facility located at 1420 E. 11th Street, which is open on Saturdays from March through December 16th.
