Chaparral Park

Chaparral Park is a two-acre neighborhood park offering space to play, gather, and relax. Visitors can enjoy a playground, basketball court, benches, open space, and a water fountain. Tucked within the neighborhood, the park provides a welcoming recreation space for people of all ages.

Chief Jim McSwain Park

1941 Haskell Ave.

Chief Jim McSwain Park is a five-acre neighborhood park featuring open space, shade trees, a playground, basketball court, benches, and picnic tables. Located next to the City’s fire training facility, the park honors longtime Fire Chief Jim McSwain and is dedicated to all firefighters. A covered shelter with electricity is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

HAND Park

1040 Home Circle

HAND Park is a one-acre neighborhood park offering space to play, relax, and enjoy the outdoors. Visitors can enjoy playground equipment, basketball courts, benches, a winding path, and shade trees. Located on Home Circle, the park provides a welcoming gathering space for the surrounding neighborhood.

Naismith Valley Park

1400 West 27th St.

Naismith Valley Park is a 25-acre natural area stretching from 24th to 29th streets. Visitors can explore hard-surface trails through prairie grasses, wildflowers, and floodplain habitat along a natural stream. The park is also a great place to observe a variety of birds and enjoy the outdoors.

Park Hills Parks includes three neighborhood park areas totaling five acres. Visitors can enjoy basketball courts, playground equipment, picnic tables, a barbecue grill, and open space. The parks provide convenient places to play, gather, and enjoy the outdoors throughout the neighborhood.

Parnell Park

901 East 15th Street

Parnell Park is a 2.7-acre neighborhood park established in 1954. Located at 15th and Maryland streets, the park offers a playground, basketball goals, picnic tables, benches, and open space. It provides a convenient neighborhood setting for children and families to play, gather, and enjoy time outdoors.

Veterans Park

1840 Louisiana St.

Veterans Park is a three-acre neighborhood park established in 1947 to honor veterans of all wars. Located at 19th and Louisiana streets, the park features the Eutin Rose Garden, named for Lawrence’s sister city in Germany. Visitors can also enjoy playground equipment, basketball and tennis courts, benches, and a large berm area for recreation and gathering.
