Rentals - Carnegie Building

Event Center Reservations can be made at the Community Building. 115 W. 11th St.

Built in 1904 with a $27,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie, the Carnegie Building served as Lawrence’s public library until 1972. It later housed the Lawrence Arts Center and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Renovated by the City in 2009-2010, it reopened in 2011 and now serves as a public event space.

  • Measures 30’X71’ and has a seating capacity of 150 and a standing capacity of 200
  • Reservations have a three-hour minimum

The Heritage Room

Set Up: A general set up is free, however self set up must be scheduled within your reservation time

The East and West Galleries

  • Both measure 26’X23’ and have seating capacities of 32 seated and 49 standing
