April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and LKPD is providing an opportunity for you to support the cause. Along with their partners at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Douglas County, members of the department planted pinwheels on the front lawn of their headquarters earlier this month. There are extra pinwheels in the front lobby at 5100 Overland Drive for you to come plant your own. They’ll be available throughout April as a reminder to make the safety and well-being of children and families a priority.
