Help Shape How Lawrence Engages the Community on Transportation Online Survey Available Through November 11th, 2026! The Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Lawrence Transit are asking residents to share their thoughts on how they communicate and engage with the community. These teams are working to update the Public Participation Plan, which guides how the public is informed and how input is collected for transportation and transit planning efforts. Residents are encouraged to take a short survey to share their preferred ways to receive information, provide input, and participate in planning. The MPO oversees transportation planning processes such as Transportation 2050, the Lawrence and Countywide Bike Plans, the Lawrence and Regional Pedestrian Plans, and the Safe Routes to School Plans for Lawrence, Eudora, and Baldwin City. Lawrence Transit manages the operation of the community’s transit system. By taking a few minutes to participate, community members can directly shape how the MPO and Lawrence Transit communicate and collaborate with the public. The survey is available online now.
