Vision 2030 Community Survey Now Open

What should Lawrence look like in 2030, and what do we need to do together to get there?
The City of Lawrence is inviting everyone who cares about the future of our community to participate in the Vision 2030 Community Survey, an important next step in the update of the City's Strategic Plan. Over the past several weeks, Vision 2030 Community Listeners have been meeting people where they already are, at recreation centers, community events, coffee shops, business gatherings, family activities and other spaces across Lawrence. Now, we're opening the conversation even wider. We’ll continue to show up to hear from you in person, but we don’t want you to feel like an event is your only opportunity to be heard.
The community survey is our biggest opportunity to hear from as many people as possible. We're asking Lawrencians to tell us what matters most, what Lawrence should prioritize for the future and what success should look like in the years ahead. The feedback gathered through the survey, alongside what we've heard through community listening, focus groups and stakeholder conversations, will help inform the outcomes, commitments and measures that guide the City's work. This is part of our belief that many voices make for a better future. We cannot build a roadmap or assign priorities without your help.
And we're asking for your help reaching beyond your own household. Take the survey, then share it. Email it to your neighbors. Send it to your coworkers. Drop it in the family group chat. Share it with your neighborhood association, book club, team, congregation or community organization. Ask the people in your life who care about Lawrence to take a few minutes and weigh in. The broader the participation, the stronger our understanding of what this community wants its future to be.
Vision 2030 isn't about creating a plan for the community; it's about creating one with the community. Whether you've lived in Lawrence your entire life, arrived last month, own a business, attend school here, raise a family here, work here or simply care deeply about this place, we want to hear from you. This is your opportunity to help shape where Lawrence is going—and what it will take to get there.
