Tennessee Street paving schedule extended through Monday

Crews completing milling and asphalt work on Tennessee Street between 6th and 9th streets have adjusted the paving schedule after additional base repairs were needed.

Crews now plan to pave the parking lanes on Friday, Nov. 6, then return on Monday, Nov. 9, to complete paving of the remaining through lane. Small punch-list items will follow after paving is complete.

To support the remaining work, parking will remain prohibited on the west side of Tennessee Street through Wednesday, Nov. 11. No-parking signs and door hangers will be placed in the area Friday.

Drivers should continue to use caution around crews and equipment. Thank you for your patience as we finish this work.

Traffic Safety Moment | Buckle Up for Every Trip

Using a seatbelt is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself in a crash.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 22,713 passenger vehicle occupants were killed in 2024, and nearly half of those killed were not buckled, based on known seat belt use.

Seat belts help to keep you secure inside the vehicle and are designed to work with air bags, not be replaced by them.

Before you drive or ride, take a few seconds to buckle up. Every seat. Every trip. Every time.
