Stewart Ave. street maintenance project to begin March 9

Beginning Monday, March 9, City contractors will close Stewart Ave. to through traffic just south of the entrance to Fire Station No.5. This closure will remain for approximately four weeks.

The City anticipates this work to be completed mid-May, pending weather or other delays.

Westbound 6th St. ramp onto McDonald Drive to close for Evergy Maintenance Work

Beginning Monday, March 9, Evergy will close the westbound 6th St. ramp onto northbound McDonald Drive to perform various pole replacements.

The City anticipates this work to end same day, March 9, pending weather or other delays.

W 24th Pl. and Inverness Dr. roundabout to close for street maintenance work

Beginning Friday, March 13, City contractors will close the Inverness Dr. and W 24th Pl. roundabout from all directions to perform warranty work in the area. This closure will remain in place through the weekend and into the following week.

The City anticipates this work to be completed prior to Monday, March 23, pending weather or other delays.

Mass. St. to intermittently close just south of 7th St. for crosswalk work

Beginning Wednesday, March 11, City crews will close Mass. St. just south of 7th St. to perform work on the crosswalk in the area. This closure will be in place from 6 - 11 a.m., and Mass St. will be reopened at 11 a.m. each day. A signed detour will be in place.

The City anticipates this work to end Friday, March 13, pending weather or other delays.

Crestline Dr. speed cushion project begins March 12 near West Middle School

Beginning March 12, City contractors will close Crestline Dr. south of Yale Rd. to install speed cushions near West Middle School as part of the 2025 Neighborhood Traffic Management program. A signed detour will be placed in the area.

The City anticipates this closure to end the week of March 23, pending weather or other delays.
